Built-In Consequences

It has been said that you can know when a person has slid into ultimate corruption when they give public approval to sin. I just want to remind you that there are built-in negative consequences to our actions that may cause us to experience the passive wrath of God.

I remember when my oldest boy was a little younger than he is now. I told him I know, every bit of 4 or 5 times, to stop swinging the belt because the buckle would hit him, and I didn’t want him to hurt himself. Low and behold, he didn’t listen, and I didn’t say another word. On about the sixth swing, that belt clocked him on the head, and he boohooed.

I know that living a biblical lifestyle is not always the most glamorous, but it is enriching and encouraging; and it also sanctifies and transforms us. I think it’s a piety to encourage a loved-one down the wrong path in an attempt to prove that you love them and don’t want to judge them. An issue can be addressed without you being judgmental. Would you really believed that a person loved you if they saw you about to step on a poisonous snake that could kill you and not tell you? Just something to think about.

Bye for now
