Purpose Brings Change

I could give you a ton of professionally eloquent words, or some “Christianese” to define purpose, but to simply put it; Purpose is what you were created for. It is the mean of your existence in honoring God. Now, I just want to make this point. Your calling is how you package your gift to fulfill your purpose. It is how you do it.

For example: I build families, in the most humbled sense of the saying. WE know, ultimately, that God is the only one that can build or destroy however, in my mind, it is ALWAYS a beautiful day to save a family. I package that in the form of promoting marital health, encouraging biblical dating through the Naomi Method (be on the look out for my book release), helping women find Wife Mentors and assisting them in learning how to fulfill their roles as wives and mothers in an honorable and respectful way.

Now, my husband and I have a joint purpose to glorify God, in Building communities. We package that in a way that assist families in ways that corresponds to our individual purposes and callings.

I encourage you to discover the purpose God has created you for. When you discover the meaning of your existence and what you’re here to do, everything you do change. The things you do, the way you do them, what you choose to take in , what you put out into the world, and the people you choose to surround yourself with. Your life is centered around fulfilling that purpose in glorifying God by operating in your calling.

Here are 3 ways to assist you in discovering your purpose:

1.     Pray for direction and clarity. God is the one who gave you your purpose and therefore He is the best person to help you in discovering it. Ask Him to order your steps in your quest.

2.     Become self-aware. Take an inventory of yourself and identify what you like, dislike, what skills and gifts you have, and what are you currently doing.

3.     Search God’s Word. Take time to go through your Bible and find scriptures that align with what you have come up with.

How can you glorify God in fulfilling your purpose by operating in your calling?
