Spiritual Insight

Everything in life requires something to happen or be altered in order for there to be an effect. I have learned that in order for me not to be stressed out or yelling at my kids, I had to decide that I would not work on the days that I have them both with me. I instead decided to pour into them more on those days.

Trying to do the work that I do requires my focus and attention. When I am trying to think, so that I can write notes or comprehend what I am reading, I get frustrated when I have a baby crying in the back because a toddler is running around in his pajamas aggravating him with a fake tree from target. (inserts mom look) I instead attempt to do small things to reach my goals during their naptime and that has been working for all of us. I feel accomplished when my husband comes home and I’m not grumpy or angry because I could get nothing done. I am more present with my children and not resentful because I have to put them first while my goals are on hold. My kids are happy because they aren’t just sitting around the house watching tv all day. They are having fun. My children require patience and attention. It is the same way with growing spiritually.

Spiritual insight requires a few things.

1.     Wisdom

2.     Revelation

3.     Enlightenment

Wisdom and revelation are needed in the knowledge of God. Wisdom is effectively applying divine or absolute truth to everyday life. Revelation is a divine fact revealed to us by God. You need enlightenment or understanding to know what his calling is about, the value of the Holy Spirit in your life, and the quality of His power. That’s it, that’s enough. When you pray for yourself, or someone else, ask for all that.
